My name is Ava Gustafson and I'm double majoring in Communication and Writing Studies. I studied abroad in Florence, Italy during the Spring 2026 semester. During my time abroad I traveled around Europe, took classes about the food, history, and architecture of Italy, met so many amazing people, and experienced a culture that is different from my own. I couldn't recommend studying abroad enough and I'm so excited to help other students experience the world!

Best advice to a future study abroad student.
Don't be afraid to ask questions! There are people that know the answer and want to help you!! Studying abroad is the time to try new things and step outside of your comfort zone, you'll be so happy you did!
